Women's Leadership Council Grants Process

The Women’s Leadership Council invites non-profits serving women and girls in Thurston County to submit funding requests. Requests are due no later than 8:00am March 12, 2012.

WLC’s goal is to help women acquire the life-long skills needed to support themselves and their families.  We want to positively impact the lives of women by promoting self sufficiency and financial stability. Further, we want to encourage this community’s service providers to collaborate amongst themselves to create projects. These statements may also help guide thinking on what WLC wants to fund:

Jobs matter: participants of the funded activity gain workforce skills that promote women’s financial independence, family stability and more secure futures for both.

Collaboration counts: proposals are strengthened by multi-agency and integrated planning.  It is important to show inter-agency coordination, in-kind and leveraged dollars coming from other sources.

Spark the Change: Demonstrate meaningful outcomes for women and why it matters in their lives.

Out-of-the-Box: the project is creative, innovative and stretches the boundaries of what has been done previously in this community

Promoting Prosperity and Financial Education: women need access to information about attaining financial stability, managing their money, and growing wealth
