CIP Instructions for Grant Application

CIP Grant Application

United Way of Thurston County and the Thurston County Health and Human Services Council (HHSC) have created the Community Investment Partnership (CIP) and are combining financial resources for a one year grant cycle in Thurston County. The goal of this partnership is to increase impact around targeted community social and health priorities. By coordinating public and private resources we will:

• Amplify our impact and focus our results around common goals

• Create incentives for service coordination

• Increase efficiencies for both non-profit service providers and funding organizations

• Support common performance reporting and continuous improvement

The Community Investment Partnership will request grant proposals from interested and eligible nonprofit organizations and expects to offer a total of about $600,000 in one year grants.

Key Elements of the RFP
Proposals will be rated on the ability to coordinate community assets, employ strategies that achieve measurable results, and show organizational capacity to deliver. Applicants will also be required to interview. Grants will range from $7,500 to $50,000. An electronic submission to both UWTC and HHSC staff is required for eligibility. The CIP Steering Committee and UWTC Board will make the final approval of funding recommendations.
