Non-Discrimination Funding Policy
Adopted August 2001
In
August 2001, the United Way of Thurston County Board
of Directors adopted a new funding policy stating
that for agencies to receive future program funding
they must sign a non-discrimination agreement to
provide targeted services open to all without regard
to age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national
origin, religious affiliation or presence of a disability.
This policy affects funding from the Community Care
Fund only (United Way’s general fund).
United
Way of Thurston County strives to offer meaningful
donors options for giving. Besides the option of
giving to the Community Care Fund, donors can also:
Designate their gifts to a specific partner agency or agenciesOmit a partner agency or agencies from their giftContribute to any registered 501(c)3 organization in the country
