The Giving Circle - Women Making a Difference!
The Women's Leadership Council goal is to help women and girls acquire the life-long skills needed to support themselves and their families. As a program of United Way of Thurston County, we aim to inspire, educate and engage our members in philanthropy, community service and advocacy to help meet this goal.

How does the WLC benefit the community?
Improving the financial stability of women and girls in Thurston County benefits both those individuals and our community. Women who understand how to support themselves and feel empowered to do so are able to give back to the community rather than relying on its services to survive.

Our Mission
We positively impact the lives of women in our community by promoting self sufficiency and financial stability through philanthropy and community service.

How we are achieving our goal?
In 2012-13 the WLC is providing $50,100 in grants and scholarships to organizations that promote economic empowerment and financial self-sufficiency for women. 

What are the benefits of joining the WLC?
