Celebrate Our Community's Heroes: Teachers

Teachers do so much that it’s only fitting that we take at least one week a year to appreciate them. From homemade crafts to a gift card for coffee or a special treat, every teacher loves to know that they are valued.

You can start your teacher appreciation project with an easy craft like some of these.

You could also consider giving your time. An article in the Wall Street Journal notes that cash strapped schools lean hard on parents and 53% of parents plan to volunteer at their children’s schools. You can choose to join our Reading Buddy Program or contact your local school district. Most of our local schools make it easy to get started. You can be sure that any teacher you met will be happy you are there!
