Women United is excited to announce our 2018-2019 Grant Recipients:

CIELO (Centro Integral Educativo de Latino en Olympia)
Program: Latina Economic Empowerment Program ¡Avanzando Juntas! (Advancing Together) Project Summary: The goal of ¡Avanzando Juntas! (Advancing Together) is to empower Latina women to capitalize on their interests, skills and talents in their journey of personal and professional growth to achieve economic self-sufficiency.

                     

Family Support Center of South Sound
Program: Family Housing & Economic Stability Project Project Summary: Provide 50 low-income, single mother households with direct financial assistance and supportive services designed to help them obtain and maintain housing and economic stability.

 

SafePlace
Program: Crisis Intervention & Advocacy Program Project Summary: Provide 24-hour crisis support services to assist survivors in crisis due to domestic or sexual violence.

 

Washington Center for Women in Business
Program: Scholarship & Rural Business Program Project Summary: Provide women the tools to be self-sufficient and build financial security for themselves and their families by providing one-on-one business coaching, training, and workshops on a variety of business-related subjects.

 

YWCA Olympia
Program: Economic Empowerment Program Project Summary: EEP provides job training and social support to 45 women ages 16-70 who are low-income and unemployed or under-employed while also promoting women's health and well-being.
