We welcome our new Director of Resource Development, J. David Hall!

J David HallUnited Way of Thurston County is pleased to announce the appointment of J. David Hall as the organization’s new Director of Resource Development. Hall began his role in May 2025 and brings over two decades of experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and nonprofit leadership.

 

With a strong track record of securing major gifts and building sustainable development programs, Hall has worked with several prominent nonprofit organizations across the region. His career has been rooted in relationship-based fundraising, and he is passionate about connecting donor generosity with community impact.

 

“We are thrilled to welcome David to the team,” said Chris Wells, Executive Director of United Way of Thurston County. “His depth of experience and authentic approach to donor stewardship will be instrumental in advancing our mission and deepening our community partnerships.”

 

A certified Gallup Strengths Coach, Hall also specializes in cultivating professional growth and fostering strong, collaborative team cultures. He is committed to developing not only donor relationships, but also the potential of staff and volunteers alike.

 

A resident of Olympia for the past six years, Hall enjoys exploring Thurston County by e-bike, birding, and spending time in nature.
