Volunteer Opportunities

COVID-19 Mask Challenge
United Way of Thurston County is joining the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, the United Ways of the Pacific Northwest, and Serve Washington to encourage our community to respond to the Washington Mask Challenge, a statewide initiative to encourage Washingtonians to make and donate cloth face masks.

Volunteers United: Become a United Way Volunteer
If you are interested in volunteering or organizing a volunteer opportunity for your group, please submit United Way of Thurston County's Volunteer Request Form to get connected to our efforts to mobilize the caring power of our community to fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a volunteer program for people 55 and over. Use the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years or develop new ones while serving your community.

Day of Caring
Day of Caring is the single largest day of volunteerism in the county. Join your neighbors as they come together to dedicate time to hands-on projects that help make our community a better place.

Greater South Sound AmeriCorps VISTA
AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as catalysts for change, working to advance local solutions to alleviate poverty in our community. Our program offers year-long opportunities throughout our Greater South Sound region through AmeriCorps VISTA and summer opportunities through AmeriCorps VISTA's Summer Associate program.
